Jan 23, 2009: Iranian state television has come to the conclusion that Harry Potter is a Zionist plot. The documentary, which you can watch here, features several "experts" discussing the wildly popular series of books and movies.
One of the experts quoted in the documentary says that Harry Potter is part of a "cultural crusade" and through the movies "they [Zionists] are indirectly saying: 'join us.'"
The documentary, which shows many of the darker scenes from the series, concludes that elements of the Kabbalah are presented in the movies. One expert says that Harry Potter is portrayed as the Messiah and the film touches on Armadeggon, which he says fits into popular Christian Zionist beliefs.
In 2007, Iran's ultra-conservative daily "Kayhan" called Harry Potter "a billion-dollar Zionist project" and a "destructive bomb" for children's minds. It alleged that the author J.K. Rowling had links to Zionists and that was how she became so well known.
Last June, Iranian television aired a documentary making similar allegations about the animated movie "Chicken Run," where chickens escape from a failing farm in what was widely seen as a parody of "The Great Escape."
According to that documentary, there were references in the movie to the Holocaust and concentration camps.

Jan 7, 2010: Iranian state television has made a documentary about the death of Neda Agha Soltan, a young Iranian woman who was shot dead during the June postelection protests in Tehran, suggesting she was an agent of the United States and Britain who staged her own death.
Neda's last moments were filmed on a cell phone and watched by millions of people around the world, becoming a symbol of democratic resistance to the regime.
The state-television documentary suggests the video of Neda's dying moments merely depicted her pouring blood on her own face from a special bottle she was carrying. Later, the documentary alleges that 27-year-old Neda was shot dead in the car that was taking her to a hospital.
The conspiracy theory alleged in the documentary is in line with comments by Iranian officials, who have repeatedly described Neda's death as "suspicious" and a "premeditated scenario" to defame Iran.

After months of ignoring the Syrian revolt against Iran's clients in the ruling Alawite clique, a Press TV editor allowed her to go to Turkey's border with Syria to talk to the refugees running for their lives. On no account was she to discuss their suffering, however. The real "story" was that Turkey was smuggling weapons to the Syrian revolutionaries. January 13, 2014: Fars has reposted a report on its English websitethat claims the foreign and domestic policies of the United States have been driven by an "extraterrestrial intelligence agenda" since 1945.
Fars says documents released by former U.S. National Security Agency contractor Edward Snowden provide "incontrovertible proof" that the "secret regime" ruling America was created after extraterrestrials -- referred to as "Tall Whites" -- met in 1954 with U.S. President Dwight D. Eisenhower.
The report was first posted by the absurdly eccentric website whatdoesitmean.com, which has a reputation for peddling outlandish disinformation.
The article asserts that "Tall Whites" were also behind the rise of Nazi Germany, and it goes on to claim that the aliens are still hell-bent on global domination:
"...[T]he “Tall White” agenda being implemented by the "secret regime" ruling the United States calls for the creation of a global electronic surveillance system meant to hide all true information about their presence here on earth as they enter into what one of Snowden's documents calls the “final phase” of their end plan for total assimilation and world rule."
To drive the point home, Fars has even created a special graphic of U.S. President Barack Obama next to Adolf Hitler against the backdrop of an American flag with a presumed alien life form staring at the reader.

Following Fars's widely reported error, "The Onion" referred to the hard-line news agency as "our Iranian subsidiary."
In June, Mehr, another semiofficial Iranian news agency, claimed in a report that Britain's Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, was Jewish. Mehr even alleged that she was secretly baptized so she could marry Prince William, who is second in line to the British throne:
"The truth is that the Royal Family's new bride is a Jew. Although in the wedding ceremony it was pretended that Kate Middleton is Christian but this lady's family roots show that she is considered a Sephardic Jew from her mother's side. Moreover the timing of the wedding and the way it was held which was based on Jewish culture verify the evidences."

June 28, 2015: A Christian pastor and activist has blamed Jewish people for the Supreme Court’s ruling in favour of same-sex marriage.
Mark Dankof, a Lutheran, made the claims in an interview with Iran’s Press TV.
As well as same-sex marriage, Dankof attributed “victories for abortion on demand” to “Jewish power, money and activism.”
“It should not be ignored that the victories for abortion on demand and LGBT rights are reflective of the disproportionate influence of Jewish power, money, and activism in the United States,” Dankof said.
“The key Jewish role played in the mainstreaming of abortion, LGBT, and pornography in the United States may be documented in Google search, especially in looking at the Frankfurt School and its Institute for Social Research,” he added.
Going on, Dankof praised Russian President Vladimir Putin as one of the only world leaders standing up to “the Zionist agenda:.
“I believe Mr. Putin is a key ingredient in destroying this global threat, and restoring cultural integrity and national sovereignty to his country, and providing a model for defeating the Zionist agenda globally,” he concluded.

5 Sep 2016: The high number of medical cases related to the September 11, 2001 terror attacks in New York, 15 years after the incident, show that the Twin Towers collapsed because of a nuclear device, says an American academic.
James Fetzer, an emeritus at the University of Minnesota, made the remarks on Wednesday, after reports emerged that as many as 400,000 people were suffering from medical conditions linked to the 9/11 attacks.

A Conservative candidate has been awarded a £338,000 payout after winning a libel case against Iranian state television channel Press TV.
The channel falsely accused Nadhim Zahawi, who is of Kurdish background and was born in Iraq, of facilitating the trade in oil between Isil and Israel.
The broadcaster has been ordered to pay Mr Zahawi £200,000 in damages and over £138,000 in costs after the judge described the defamatory allegations as "exceptionally grave".
Jeremy Corbyn, the Labour leader, has previously been paid £20,000 for appearances on the channel.
