Ghamidi belongs to Farahi and Islahi school of thought that is an offshoot of Jamat-e-islami, though they strongly differ from Maududi on various issues. My main concern is that he advocates moderate and pro-peace interpretation of religion, and challenges the violence narrative. People have right to their views as long as they do not advocate violence towards those who disagree with them, and I like him for this approach. Whether he is anti-Sufi makes no difference.
